TELEHEALTH

How physical therapy works over video.

This is the question everyone asks, so here is the honest version — including what telehealth doesn’t do well.

You book

Through Jane, my practice software. You’ll get a secure link — nothing to download.

Secure intake

Forms are completed inside Jane, which is built for healthcare and encrypted. Never by email.

Your session

60 minutes for your evaluation, 45 for treatments. Wear something you can move in and have a few feet of floor space.

Your program

Custom home exercise programming, sent through Jane.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Setting up.

  • A phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera

  • Roughly six feet of clear floor space

  • Somewhere you can speak privately

  • A chair, and a wall you can lean against

  • Something to prop the camera at hip height

That’s genuinely it. Anything else I’d recommend, I’ll tell you after your evaluation rather than before.

Under 18: I need consent from a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must be present and available for the session and provide accurate identification and address in case of emergency.

What telehealth can’t do.

I can’t put hands on you. That means no manual therapy, no internal pelvic floor assessment, and no dry needling.

For most of what I treat this matters less than people expect — the evidence for education, graded loading and behavior change is strong, and those all translate. But it isn’t true for everything.

If I think you need in-person care, I’ll say so on the discovery call and help you find someone.

LICENSING

Where I can treat you.

Physical therapists are licensed by state, and telehealth care is governed by the state you are physically in during your session — not where I am.

Currently licensed in: Kentucky. You must be physically located in Kentucky at the time of your session.

If you’re outside Kentucky, get in touch anyway. I add state licenses on an ongoing basis, and it’s useful for me to know where demand is — I’ll let you know if I become licensed where you are.

SERVICE AREA

Kentucky, by telehealth.

All Elevé care is delivered by telehealth to clients located in Kentucky. There are a small number of ZIP codes I’m not able to serve at present; if yours is one of them I’ll tell you on the discovery call and help you find another provider — no charge.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

☐ I will be physically located in Kentucky during my appointments.

☐ I’ll provide my accurate service address at intake, and understand my address determines whether I’m eligible for care.
