ABOUT

Ellen Vogt PT, DPT, OCS

Pelvic Floor & Performing Arts Rehab Specialist

I built Elevé because outpatient care, as it’s usually structured, asks everyone to accept less than the work deserves — twenty minutes of a therapist’s attention, split across three patients, on a schedule set by a benefit plan rather than by the person in front of you.

This practice is deliberately small. A limited number of clients each week, a full hour each, and the same therapist every time. You get specialist care from your own home, studio, or gym instead of being moved between tables in a busy clinic. Working virtually means I can meet people where they already are and give access to quality care. It’s also why I keep one slot each week for someone who needs care and can’t pay for it.

I trained at the University of Kentucky, earning a bachelor’s in human health sciences in 2017 and then receiving my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020. I’ve treated men and women for pelvic floor dysfunction since 2020. Pelvic floor physical therapy has made up a substantial share of my caseload throughout that time. It’s the work I find most worthwhile: the unseen side of someone’s life, the part they’ve been managing alone, and the confidence that comes back when it improves.

In 2020 I also began working with dancers. This is the patient population that first drew me to physical therapy: I started dancing at three and continued for twenty-three years, through studio training and then as a collegiate dancer. My first outpatient role had me on-site weekly with a professional ballet company and backstage providing physical therapy during performances. For the past three years I’ve done contract work with Broadway touring productions. While in Lexington, I’ve worked with adolescent performers and with professional dancers across every style.

Outside of work I’m a mom to two, which is the other reason Elevé exists in the shape it does. Most of my time off is spent with my family, changing diapers, cooking dinner, chasing little feet, at church, hosting friends, traveling, or at a UK game.

How I work

One patient at a time, for the whole appointment. I explain what I’m thinking as I go, because people who understand their own body do better than people following instructions.

What I won’t do

Keep you on longer than you need, or take you on if I think someone else is a better fit. If you need hands-on care I can’t provide over video, I’ll say so.

Fifteen minutes, free.

The fastest way to find out whether we’re a fit.
